About
The Old-Time String Band Ensemble (formerly the Anglo-American Ensemble) performs traditional rural American music, including Appalachian fiddle and banjo, Mid-West fiddle tunes, Cajun/Creole fiddle, bluegrass, and country blues, on acoustic stringed instruments.

How to join
Students should already play a relevant instrument or have singing experience in old-time, hymn, or bluegrass styles, and bring their own instruments; contact the course instructor about enrollment (ETHNMUS 91 and 161Z, section 3).
