The UCLA Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra uses the jazz big-band format plus Latin percussion instruments, designed for students in the Global Jazz Studies interdepartmental program to train as professional jazz musicians.

Primarily for Global Jazz Studies students; occasional openings for advanced-level UCLA student musicians on instruments not covered by jazz studies students, with a fall audition.
