At Refinela, our mission is to revolutionize the fashion industry by championing sustainability, innovation, and ethical practices. In order to combat the overconsumption of fast fashion, RefineLA hosts an annual runway show featuring collections upcycled by our own student designers. RefineLA also circulates secondhand clothing at our quarterly flea markets to make slow fashion accessible on the UCLA campus. Centering education and advocacy, RefineLA produces a lifestyle blog, editorial photoshoots, and upcycling workshops in addition to other events.
