HR REACH is made up of DGSOM medical students dedicated to advancing harm reduction in medicine.
HR REACH UCLA is a local chapter of an established national organization dedicated to Harm Reduction Research, Education, and Advocacy for Community Health. HR REACH aims to improve healthcare for patients who use substances through the advancement of Harm Reduction.
Harm reduction is a set of practical strategies and ideas aimed at reducing negative consequences associated with drug use and a belief in, and respect for, the rights of people who use drugs.
